Who is behind The Lingerie Directory?
The Lingerie Directory is created, developed, curated, and maintained by Luca Gőczey, a Budapest-based graphic and web designer with a long-standing interest in lingerie craftsmanship.
What types of lingerie brands are featured in the directory?
The directory features a wide range of lingerie brands, including established labels, independent designers and emerging studios. All featured brands are selected based on product quality, ethical considerations, and distinctive visual or conceptual creativity.
Are the listed lingerie brands sponsored or paid placements?
No. All brands featured in The Lingerie Directory are included organically and without payment. There are no sponsored placements, advertisements, or ranking advantages of any kind.
Is The Lingerie Directory a non-profit project?
Yes. The Lingerie Directory is a non-profit, community-driven initiative. There are no paid listings, affiliate links, or commercial partnerships, and the platform exists solely to share and celebrate creative lingerie work.
How often is the directory updated?
The Lingerie Directory is a continuously evolving project. New brands are added over time, and existing listings may be updated to reflect changes in collections, branding, or availability. As the directory is independently managed by one person, updates happen organically and as time permits.
Submitting a brand
Can individuals suggest or submit lingerie brands for consideration?
Absolutely. Recommendations are always welcome and encouraged, especially when they align with the directory’s focus on craftsmanship, quality, ethical and transparent production, original design language and thoughtful brand identity. Please use the form found on the Brand Submission Page.
I own a lingerie brand. Can I submit my own brand?
Yes, brand owners may submit their own work for consideration. However, submissions are treated the same as any other recommendation and are evaluated through the same independent curation process. Please use the form found on the Brand Submission Page.
Are brands allowed to promote or push their own products on the platform?
No. The Lingerie Directory does not function as a promotional or marketing platform. Product pushing, sales messaging, press-style pitches, or repeated promotional requests are discouraged.
Why is self-promotion discouraged?
The directory exists to provide a calm, unbiased, and thoughtfully curated space for discovery. Limiting self-promotion helps maintain editorial integrity, equal visibility, and trust for both visitors and featured brands.
Community
I’m a photographer, stylist, or creative featured here, can I request edits or credits?
Absolutely. If you own or contributed to any content featured on the site and would like to request edits, add credits, or discuss presentation, you are encouraged to reach out. The directory aims to respect and properly credit creative work. Please get in touch via email.
Can brands request edits, updates to their listing or removal?
Yes. Brand owners and creatives may request factual corrections, updated links, or credit adjustments. Editorial descriptions and placement remain at the curator’s discretion. If a brand or rights holder prefers not to be included, they may request removal at any time. Please get in touch via email.
Will there be community features in the future?
Yes. While the current version functions primarily as a curated database, future plans include a more community-led and interactive “2.0” version with expanded features and participation. Stay tuned.
